The first notes of foot care are given from Hippokrates (460-377 v.Chr.).

In the antiquity the foot care takes a very high priority and about 700 years after Christ first knowledge was written down.

In the 12th century began the profession of the barber. He had bathing-rooms, shaved and makes small surgical procedures. He pulled teeth’s, distant warts and corns. The combination of the treatment of the foot and the teeth remained very long time in this form.

A ingrown nail and his operative treatment was described first by Dionis (1707).

In France the first work of the pedicure appeared 1762 by “Rousselot”.

The professional foot treatment was described in the literature from the 18th century on.

Both in England and in France,in aristocratic circles, they appreciate well-groomed feets.
